Hey again all. Well, no locusts yet, so it looks like we are good, for now. :)
But on the other hand, my favorite game ever is down for maintenance today, and when it comes up around five today, everything will be different. A new patch is going into effect today, and with it some of the changes that are going to come with the expansion are going to take effect. They finally announced the release date for the expansion WOW: Cataclysm of December 7th, 2010. Since it is a online multiplayer game, they know not everyone is going to be grabbing it the day it releases, so they are having everyone download a over 4 gig patch that will implement some of the upcoming content.
Major changes are in the works, for all classes, professions, races, just everything. I am going to have to relearn how to play my characters, so it should be loads of fun. I will not go into the whole thing here, because I know most of you probably don't play, so you don't care, but as I have said before, if you ever decide you want to try it, drop me a line and we can get you on a trial account and I will get you in the guild I am in and I think you might enjoy it.
My guild is supposed to be doing a raid tomorrow, but now I am not sure if we will be able to or not, this is going to be a learning curve on the same toons they have been playing for months or even years, so we might have to put the raid off so we can all figure out what we are doing again. lol
I am writing on my book still, I got some great feedback, so I am implementing the ideas and will hopefully get it done right. I really enjoy writing and love hearing from the readers, it helps alot to hear what other people think. I mean, I write because I enjoy it and it gives me a creative outlet, but you guys read it so I think it should represent both of our ideas.
Well, I am going to go, I am using the down time of the game to write as much as possible, so I will see you again soon.

Fire and Rain
Hey guys! Sorry for the delay, but a lot has been going on here. Let me first say that last Saturday, we were under drought conditions and therefore a burn ban. We live in the middle of nowhere, so a lot of people burn there garbage. Saturday, my son looks out the front door and says "Mom, there is smoke over there, something is on fire." I thought that someone was burning off their field for the winter, not a bright move in these conditions, being so dry and a bit of a wind, but I wasn't worried. Then I looked out the window and it was that dark thick smoke. Then I heard the fire trucks. Somebody down the road was burning trash and the fire jumped out and began burning everything. The fire fighters told me to have some things ready in case the fire jumped the road. Our neighbors across the street almost lost everything. The fire came within 50 yards of their house. Thanks to the fire fighters no one was hurt and no one is homeless. It was very bad though. It took out a lot of fields and woods. I can't say enough about how great the fire fighters were, most of them volunteers. We had at least five different towns and cities here fighting the fire.
They get the fire under control, and everyone starts praying for rain. Maybe too many prayed for rain... by Wednesday afternoon, schools were closed, roads were flooded, and I now have a pond in my back yard that wasn't there when we moved in. It was horrid. The kids got out of school at 11:30 on Wednesday and have not gone back yet. They are going tomorrow though, if I have to get them there in a boat. LOL My heart goes out to all who were displaced by the storm and the families of the people who lost their lives in car accidents during this time.
So, we been through fire and rain, isn't the next one locusts? I better put Terminex on speed dial. LOL. Well, I am out for now, I hope this week is a little less eventful. You guys stay safe.
